Charity Bike Ride – We Made It! πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

If you’ve been keeping up with us on LinkedIn, you’ll know that this week the team has been tackling a 600 km virtual bike ride right here in the office, cycling from the London Eye to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin to raise money and awareness for Movember.

This was no small feat for our crew (none of whom are cyclists!). The week kicked off strong, with a plan to cover just over 40 km each from Monday through Thursday, leaving around 20 km each for Friday’s final push.

By the end of Day 1, the team was already 10 km ahead of schedule, averaging 26.7 km/h between them. Motivation was sky-high, even if the total distance still loomed large.

By midweek, though, reality and sore legs, started to set in. Despite the aches, the team kept the momentum going and finished Day 4 with just 46 km left to conquer.

With one final push this morning, the team crossed the (virtual) finish line, completing the full 600 km in just 22.5 hours!! Incredibly this meant they had maintained their Day 1 average pace of 26.7 km/h, mostly thanks to a last-minute friendly competition between Teige and Jordan for the fastest speed bragging rights.

Overall, the team is thrilled with the achievement, and even more so with the funds raised for Movember. At the time of writing, donations total Β£545 (+ Β£105 Gift Aid).

Movember is a fantastic charity supporting men’s health in areas including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
